The Lake Placid Tower |

The Tower Story At the Time of construction it was the world's tallest concrete
masonry structure. It was built with more than 70,000 pounds of reinforcing steel and nine
million pounds of concrete. Back then it was called "Placid Tower" and featured a
small zoo. |
